Top 5 movies of 2013

1. The Hunger Games Catching Fire
This is the second movie of the hunger games trilogy. In this movie Katniss and Peeta return the the games were they go into an arena of 25 other tributes and kill each other until there is one tribute left. There is a lot of differences from this movie than the first because you get to see katniss and Peeta at home in district 12 and see the rebellion against the capital start to spread.

I really enjoyed this movie because I thought it was cool to see how they turned parts of the book into a movie. Like at one part of the book there was fog and when you were touched by it it would burn you and how it was put into the movie was exactly how I pictured it while reading the book. I also like seeing some of the new characters and who they were played by.

2. Now you see me
A detective tries to bust 4 magicians for their bank robbery act which uses teleportation by teaming up with a retired magician they discover that they really can't teleport and are just way ahead of everyone else. Right when the detective thinks he figured it out it was too late and the magicians all ready beat them too it. Around the end of the movie the magicians finish with an amazing act and when the mastermind behind the whole thing is revealed it is really unexpected.

I thought this movie was very interesting and I think the writers did a really good job comming up with the twists and turns in this movie because I thought there was always something new happening.i really enjoy these kinds of movies because when something that is mindblowing in the movie is explained I think wow that's really smart!

3. Despicable me 2
An ex-super villain gru with 3 adopted daughters and small yellow minions is recruited by a secret agent company to try and catch a super villain. In the end it turns out that the actual villain is a friend of gru's.

I thought this was a good movie that anyone at any age could watch. I also thought that the humor in this movie was funny for all ages.

4. Warm Bodies
In this movie a virus spreads throughout the world and turns everyone into a zombie. Although there is some survivors life is very difficult trying not to die. One of the main characters Julie is saved in a troubling situation by a zombie named "R" who is still partly aware of being human. Soon after he starts to become more human along with the rest of the zombies and then falls in love with Julie. Then humans and zombies work together to turn the world safe again.

I thought this was a great movie because it wasn't like all the other zombie movies with killing and it wasn't that scary either. I liked how it was a movie that no one has ever made a movie like before so it was something new to watch. I liked how the actors and actresses really played their parts well. Also their was a lot of humor in the movie that a lot of people can understand. I think that this was and overall great movie and probably one of my favorites of 2013.

5.The Host
This movie was a futuristic movie about an alien invasion that the aliens take the bodies of the humans and make it their own. The aliens didn't know but there was a secret place in a mountain where survivors lived in hiding from the aliens. The only way you can see the difference from the aliens and humans are they're eyes. An alien in the body of a few of the of the survivors friend is in an alliance with the humans with the mind and memories of the old her inside her head.

I thought there was a really cool twist in this movie than other futuristic movies I have seen because it opens your mind to other possible ways the world could be invaded by other life forms. I thought the special effects in this movie were great. I also liked how when something happened you could feel how the characters feel and that really made me like the movie even more.
